Ray W. Rhoe is President of Vibration Analysts Inc.

Ray has extensive experience in reliability-centered maintenance and component performance troubleshooting, and is an ISO Cat. IV Certified Vibration Analyst and Professional Engineer.  Ray has shaped our company’s vision to be the leader in proactive maintenance solutions by developing our unique and patented data analysis process which allows us to fully maintain and operate superior vibration program for clients and at about 1/3 the in-house cost.

Ray graduated from The Citadel in 1978, and obtained a Professional Engineer’s License. He started working in a “Noise and Vibration Group” at an east coast shipyard responsible for building and overhauling US Navy nuclear vessels.  Ray later became the company’s Submarine Pump Component Engineer, and then transferred to a large nuclear power utility working as their Pump Component Specialist. By combining his pump and vibration experience, and by attending several advanced vibration training courses, Ray worked his way up to become their Plant Vibration Engineer and an ISO Category IV Analyst.

While working in the nuclear industry, Ray completed a large Operating Deflection Shape Test (ODS) test on a 1250-megawatt Turbine Generator and two (2) elevations of the Main Turbine Building. Ray’s experience also includes precision single plane balancing jobs, troubleshooting structural resonances, and providing ISO Vibration Certification Training (Categories I, II and III).

Ray started working as an Independent Vibration Consultant in 2003, and shortly after patented his data analysis process in 2006.  After recognizing it’s many benefits, Ray incorporated his business and we became “Vibration Analysts Inc”.  It’s who we are; it’s what we do.
